Gurdwaras in Washington D.C.



Washington D.C., the nation's capital is home to a few Sikh Gurdwaras.

A Gurdwara caters to religious and spiritual needs of members of the Sikh community.

The growth of Punjabi community in and around Washington DC has led to establishment of a few Sikh temples.

Besides weekly Ardaas, Huka, Rehraas, Sukhaasan Sevaa, Kirtan, Gurbani Vichar, Punjabi language classes, Washington DC Sikh Gurdwaras also host major Punjabi festivals like Baishaki to strengthen the cultural heritage of local Sikh community.

Langar (free community meal) is also offered at Washington DC Sikh temples.
